A tattoo artist working out of Manchester, UK.
I have been a tattoo artist four years. I primarily concentrate on creating Sumi style art and calligraphy style work, but I am open to trying other styles where I believe I can contribute something unique. I have a deep passion for all things creative and draw inspiration from any subject.
Learning Shodo calligraphy with sensei Koshu (Akemi Lucas) is a strong passion of mine, and I strive to incorporate it into my work. I am extremely cautious about not undermining the importance and influence of being able to learn from a skilled teacher and master alongside her students, while striving to maintain the authenticity of the practice and techniques as I advance.
In addition to tattooing and calligraphy, I also practice sumi painting, oil painting, clay sculpting, and digital art. I try to minimize my digital activity as much as possible. I strongly prefer using physical materials and drawing from my imagination.
Much of my work is influenced by artists such as Masahiro Ito, Yoji Shinkawa, Wes Borland, and Koshu Sensei.
I enjoy diversifying the kinds of work I do so that the pieces I create and the subjects I explore are varied. I also dedicate a significant amount of time to my music projects. I wanted a space where I could showcase my tattoo work, music, art and ideas, all organized in some way. More like a personal journal that will enable me to share everything without relying on other platforms. I value my privacy and find that social media doesn't respect that aspect.
THIS PORTFOLIO WILL SERVE AS A BETTER PLATFORM TO DISPLAY ALL MY WORK COLLECTIVELY.
